Regardless of what you might hear this was never an issue knife. Not experimental nor an updated version with a modern handle. It was strictly sold to the collector market as a cheap knock off. Actually we don't run into them very often but when we do they are usually accompanied by a story behind them. The first ones we have found appeared in 1985. Beware.
