As suggested by several folks, we are adding this page to gather what information we can about edged items of unknown origin or backgrounds. We will print what information we do have on them and any theories anyone may have right here on this page. Hit me with your best shot to stimulate the thought process.
The only two I have ever seen. Made by Union Cutlery Co. and so marked on the blade "Ka-Bar / U.S." The bone handles have a shield marked U.S. The Sheepsfoot blade makes me think Navy but the Mountain knife had the Sheepsfoot also. Your thoughts?? Both knife photos were contributed by well known collectors also looking for info on these beautiful knives.
