This month we feature the M9 scabbard. This is an early design patent. Dated 1989 it was issued to Charles A. (Mickey) Finn. Look at the references cited and you will see that it refers back to a scabbard patented by William E. Fairbairn. That patent is for the Smatchet scabbard. Knowledge is Power.
