This month we feature another bayonet scabbard. This is the Beckwith Patent for an M3 scabbard. Quite an improvement for the time as opposed to the costly M1910 scabbard it was replacing. These scabbards were also easy and fast to produce. This is a design patent which typically take up only two pages. The patent is only on the design, not the methods in which the item is made nor the materials used.
