This months feature is a rare treat. Just as we published the first Patent Page last month we were contacted by fellow collector Jeffery Hayes from the U.K. in several e-mails about bayonet patents back and forth Mr. Hayes sent a scan of an ORIGINAL patent that we could view. Rare indeed.
This rare original depicts Patent No. 151238 issued to Mr. Henry Metcalfe and Mr. Felix Chillingworth for the Trowel Bayonet in May 26, 1874.
